Missile to shoot clear in Silver Salver

Haydock on Saturday stages the Timeform Silver Salver, a race for fillies and mares which has seen some great winners in its short existance, with Pipalong and Tante Rose just two of them being well known.

This years' renewal looks pretty wide open with a few of the three year olds taking on their elders. The 1000 Guineas form could be represented by J Noseda's Francesca Giorgio. She was very disappointing that afternoon and trailed in last of the fifteen runners. Clearly with something a miss, she is on a comeback mission here and a better show is to be expected over this shorter distance of 6f, the distance that she has tasted success at in the past. online betting.

However, in contrast, coming into the race in flying form is A Berry's Look Busy. Already a dual winner this season, including a classy victory at the Chester May meeting, Look Busy has bags of speed and likes to run prominently. She should force the pace.

Others in with chances (on the condition that they are declared) are P Howling's Cape, already a winner over this distance at Doncaster this season, along with recent Salisbury winner Dubai Power from the ever conquering C E Brittain stable, and also the first ever winner at Great Leighs, Temple Of Thebes who has won her last two races.

But I am going to pass them all over with a mare who has proved herself in this company time and time again and is also a Royal Ascot winner. Dark Missile last year won the Wokingham H'cap in great style but hasn't tasted victory since. She has run well in defeat every time however only going down by narrow margins and some would consider her to be a shade unlucky lately. She has run two decent races so far this season which would have put her spot on for this, and if W Buick once again gets the leg up, she is a force to be reckoned with. Take Dark Missile to show that up against her own sex, she's one of the best sprinters around at this time of year.
