hello,

I am a bit of a newbie here and would love it if someone could point me in the direction of any reading material that would be a good start to trading sports on betfair. I work in the city and have been trying my hand at trading on betfair with mixed success and I am now ready to take my learning process to the next level.

I am looking for a book that quickly goes through the basics and then goes into more technical and harder strategies. I am not looking for a "system" to follow, just something that will give me ideas on what strategies are out there and a basic grasp on ways to trade on betfair. I hope that this will then give me a good understanding and enable me to develope my own ideas.

DOES THIS EXIST? can anyone point me in the right direction. I would really appreciate anyones help.

Cheers guys!

Solid successful strategies are hard to find for free. You will find a plethora of information explaining the basic principles of trading all over the net, as I'm sure you probaly have seen already, with no real strategy advice. Whatever you do, don't buy willy nilly systems online claiming to maximise your profits, as 9/10 of these are just glorified betfair guides with no real substance.

Peter Webb is releasing this book (http://www.amazon.co...22266028&sr=8-1) , which I would say is worth its weight in gold, when it is eventually released. I have also been to a couple of Peter Web seminars, where I learnt most of what I know. They are a bit expensive but you learn a hell of a lot and get a large guide to take home to study strategies in your own time.

If you are serious about trading I would reccomend investing in some education, like these strategy seminars. They will help you get to the next level quickly. When they are avaialble these courses are listed here (http://www.bettingexchangeacademy.com/), there are also some free basic training videos here (http://www.betangel....in/training.php).

Hope this helps and Good luck!
