When I first started playing poker I made the mistake of playing cash games for $50 at a time with money I would credit my account with there and then. I'd win some and lose some but obviously been new I lost more times then I won.
I think at the moment one of the best ways to improve your poker aswell as have a chance at hitting the $1000's in prizes in step tournaments.
I personally use party poker as they start from $3 and you can win over $2000 - (Click Here to sign up and get a bonus $25) - once in the main lobby click on the 'steps' botton on the left.
The reason these are so good to improve your game is they are very forgiving - for example, these are the payouts
Step 1 - $3 - - place 1 and 2 - step 2 ticket
3 and 4 - step 1 re-entry
Step 2 - $10 - -place 1 and 2 - step 3 ticket
3 and 4 - Step 2 re-entry
5 and 6 - Step 1 re-entry
Step 3 - $30 - -place 1,2 and 3 - Step 4 ticket
4 - step 3 re-entry
5-7 - step 2 re-entry
Step 4 - $70 - -place 1-3 - Step 5 ticket
4 - Step 4 re-entry
5 - Step 3 re-entry
Step 5 - $170 - place 1 - 2 Step 6 ticket
3 - 4 Step 5 re-entry
5 - 6 Step 4 re-entry
7 - 8 Step 3 re-entry
Step 6 - $500 - place 1 - $2000
2 - $1000
3 - $700
4-5- $500
Looking at the above you can see that you would get alot out of the step system and alot of poker for your $3 at PARTY POKER
I myself have made the final table from the $3 step using a simple stratergy which I will add here within the next few days.
but until then dont throw your cash at the cash tables until you have had a practice at the steps HERE
All the best and good luck
Scott
