We're going for the hat-trick this week after two successive profitable weekends on both the bookings and the bookings supremacy markets.

I think to understand how volatile these markets are you need look no further than the boy Ronaldo! Sent off twice now, both at the Bernabeu, and both for ridiculous petulance which left the refs with little alternative, despite the jeering masses of the Madridista's. I have a smidgen of sympathy with him for last weekends, but for £80 million and god knows how much per week, I would say the look on Pellegrini's face as the bold boy walked up the tunnel said it all.

Anyway, to this weeks matches and the eye-catching fixtures are probably the heavyweight clash between Sevilla and Valencia, as well as Real's trip to Depor. Interest in both of them, and a few more below.

Bookings Selections;
Xerez v Mallorca Buy bookings @ 68 M/U 40. 2.1pts loss
Tenerife v R Zaragoza Sell bookings @ 58 M/U 90. 2.4pts loss
Sevilla v Valencia Sell bookings @ 72 M/U 80. 0.6pts loss
Valladolid v Almeria Buy bookings @ 76 M/U 85. 0.675pts profit
S Gijon v Barcelona Sell bookings @ 54 M/U 90. 2.7pts loss
A Madrid v Malaga Sell bookings @ 64 (Extrabet) M/U 60. 0.3pts profit

Bookings Supremacy Selections;
Sell Deportivo supremacy @ 0 (Extrabet) M/U 30 2.25pts loss
Sell S Gijon supremacy @ 6 M/U 30. 1.8pts loss

All 1pt bets with Sporting unless stated.

Good luck!

Sorry folks, what a shocker! You put the work in, you crunch the numbers, and sometimes you just don't get the rewards you feel you deserve! That's betting for you, and safe to say I hope we don't have a weekend as bad as this again this season, but as we know, there are no guarantees of anything.

All I will say is that hopefully if you are following these, you are also following all of our other tips, in which case you will have had a nice weekend, despite this debacle!!

Weekend Bookings Total; 6.825pts loss
Weekend Supremacies Total; 4.05pts loss
Weekend Total; 10.875pts loss
La Liga Overall; 4.05pts profit

We need to get back on track this weekend after one or two to forget last weekend, and there certainly look like there are a few opportunities in Week 21 of La Liga.

Here are my bookings selections;

Osasuna v Tenerife Sell @ 74 M/U 30. 3.3pts profit
R Zaragoza v Sevilla Sell @ 74 M/U 145. 5.325pts loss
Valencia v Valladolid Sell @ 64 M/U 20. 3.15pts profit

R Santander v A Madrid Sell @ 70 M/U 20. 3.75pts profit
R Madrid v Espanyol Sell @ 60 M/U 50. 0.75pts profit
A Bilbao v Xerez Sell @ 62 M/U 70. 0.6pts loss
R Mallorca v Villarreal Sell @ 55 M/U 80. 1.875pts loss

Booking Supremacy selections;
Buy A Madrid/R Santander sup @ 5 (Spreadex) M/U -20. 1.875pts loss
Sell Sevilla/R Zaragoza sup @ 3 M/U -25. 2.1pts profit
Buy Getafe/Barca sup @ 15 (Extrabet) M/U -60. 5.625pts loss
Buy Espanyol/R Madrid sup @ 17 (Extrabet/Spreadex) M/U 10. 0.525pts loss

Good luck, and remember that Bookings is a volatile market so monitor your stakes closely.

Unfortunately, another set of bad overall figures this weekend, and two or three hefty reverses. Spanish bookings make-ups no longer surprise me, but when firstly the golden boy of Madrid, Christiano Ronaldo is twice sent-off at the Bernabeu, and then Barca have two players sent off in one game at the Nou Camp, it does make you think!

Our bookings selections produced 4 winners and 4 losers, but when two of those losers are almost criminally big, at over 11 points between them, it's asking a lot to make that back. And we didn't! Two 145 make-ups in one weekend (one of them I'm querying with Sporting), and we were on the wrong end of both - not good. Enough to make you consider your future participation in these markets, but it really is like any other market, you will have freakish results a few times a season, and a 145 bookings make-up in Spain isn't even so freaky!

What would make me consider stopping is if I couldn't rely on the data I use to crunch the numbers. This has always been a slight concern in these markets, and I know that even Sporting have had problems with this, and in recent weeks, various sites have given very conflicting information.

I'll be monitoring this closely in future weeks, and may even advise only paper trading until I'm happy.

Enough waffle, here are the numbers for this weekend;

Weekend Bookings Total; 3.225pts loss
Weekend Supremacies Total; 5.925pts loss
Weekend Total; 9.15pts loss
La Liga Overall Total; 5.1pts loss

Sorry guys, that's a shocker, 20 points lost in two weekends, and into an overall loss position for the first time since the opening weekend.

We've had a poor showing recently on these, and although we are not at the last chance saloon just yet, these markets take more time to dissect than any other, and most of the others are more successful. In fact, make that all of the others, so we need to see some improvement here quite soon, or we may concentrate elsewhere.

Here are this weeks selections;

Bookings;
Buy Bookings Villarreal v A Bilbao @ 72 (Extrabet) M/U 105. 2.475pts profit
Buy Bookings Valladolid v R Zaragoza @ 60 M/U 105. 3.375pts profit
Sell Bookings Getafe v Almeria @ 66 M/U 40. 1.95pts profit
Sell Bookings Sevilla v Osasuna @ 76 M/U 40. 2.7pts profit
Sell Bookings A Madrid v Barcelona @ 64 M/U 70. 0.45pts loss

Bookings supremacies;
Buy A Bilbao/Villarreal sup @ 6 (Extrabet) M/U 35. 2.175pts profit
Sell Osasuna/Sevilla sup @ 10 M/U 20. 0.75pts loss

All bets 1pt, and on Sporting unless stated.

Good luck!

A welcome and much needed return to form on La Liga this week, and spectacularly so as well! It's funny how a bad run on something eats away at your confidence that you know what you are doing, and I think if we had had another weekend like the two previous I might have called time on this for a while.

We could have of course, but things went our way this time, particularly at Villarreal, where our bookings and supremacy buys were hurled in the right direction thanks to 3 sendings-off and a booking in the 90th minute! Previous weeks, these sort of things were going against us, so maybe we were due a freakish event in our favour?

Here are the numbers;
Weekend Bookings Total; 10.05 pts profit
Weekend Supremacies Total; 1.425 pts profit
Weekend Total; 11.475pts profit
La Liga Overall Total; 6.375pts profit

Back in overall profit, which is great to see. Would actually have been a further point better off, but I somehow omitted a profitable supremacy bet in the Real Madrid match from the thread - only just realised, sorry!

Despite last weekends return to form and profitability, we are still close to that fine line which separates success and failure, so it's laborious research and painstaking number crunching to the fore as we try to stay on the right side.

And, this weeks fixtures haven't thrown up too many which leap out at me, unfortunately. Here are the selections.....

Bookings selections;
Sell bookings Deportivo v Xerez @ 60 M/U 80. 1.5pts loss
Sell bookings Mallorca v Sevilla @ 62 (Spreadex) M/U 125. 4.725pts loss
Sell bookings Almeria v A Madrid @ 64 M/U 50. 1.05pts profit
Sell bookings R Madrid v Villarreal @ 69 M/U 60. 0.675pts profit

Bookings supremacies;
Sell Almeria/A Madrid @ -2 M/U -10. 0.6pts profit

Good luck!

Our precarious looking black figures look even more flaky after a losing weekend. 3 winning bets from 5, but the 3 sendings off on the island cost us dearly.

Here are the figures.......

Weekend Bookings; 2.7pts loss inc Monday match
Weekend Supremacies; 0.6pts profit
Weekend Total; 2.1pts loss
La Liga Overall Total; 4.275pts profit

Hanging on grimly on these, and given the time these take, I've decided to concentrate on the live matches only, so here are this weeks selections.............

Bookings;
Sell bookings Tenerife v R Madrid @ 62 M/U 30. 2.4pts profit
Sell bookings A Madrid v Valencia @ 68 M/U 120. 3.9pts loss

Bookings supremacies;
Sell Tenerife/R Madrid sup @ 2 M/U 10. 0.6pts loss
Buy Malaga/Barcelona sup @ 12 M/U 0. 0.9pts loss
Sell A Bilbao/Sevilla sup @ 14 M/U 25. 0.825pts loss

Good luck!

A poor show, and pretty much at break even overall now.

Here were this weekends numbers.........

Bookings Weekend; 1.5pts loss
Supremacies Weekend; 2.325pts loss
La Liga Weekend; 3.825pts loss
La Liga Overall; 0.45pts profit

Bookings outperform the supremacies quite comfortably so far, but the sample is very small so I really need to try and carry on until the end of the season at least.

Bookings Overall Total; 5.675pts profit
Supremacies Overall Total; 5.225pts loss

Anyone who witnessed the Atletico v Valencia match last weekend, will have seen one of the most eccentric refereeing performances since Senor Burrell's last one! It cost us 3.9pts as well, although that wasn't all down to him.

Suffice to say, he's been dumped this week, and his place has been taken by Mejuto Gonzalez for the Osasuna v Getafe game tomorrow. The La Liga site that I know Sporting use for their stats was still showing Burrell as the ref, so could they possibly have missed a trick, I wondered?

Well, they probably didn't anyway, but as it turned out, research revealed that Senor Gonzalez stats are uncannily similar to the other bloke, so no major change to the spreads would have been required anyway. Never mind.

Anyway, here are some for Saturday, possibly more to come for Sunday........

Bookings;
Sell bookings R Madrid v Sevilla @ 70 M/U 80. 0.75pts loss
Sell bookings Almeria v Barcelona @ 62 M/U 25. 2.775pts profit

Supremacies;
Buy Sevilla/R Madrid supremacy @ 11 (Spreadex) M/U 20. 0.675pts profit
Sell Almeria/Barca supremacy @ 10 M/U -25. 2.625pts profit

Good luck!

Much needed boost to these, with a cracking set of results on a strange weekend.

No yellow cards in the Barcelona game, just a red for Ibrahimovic, and no cards at all in the Bilbao game. You think you've seen it all, then along comes a La Liga match with a bookings make up of ZERO!! Not the first, but they don't happen very often, and it's the first time I've been on a sell in La Liga that's made up 0.

The Sage will remember one of our most memorable bets from yesteryear, when we went heavy on a bookings buy in a Milan derby. It was actually the year they met in the Champions League semis, and the make up was..............ZERO! This kinda makes up for that, hope you were on, Sage!

Anyway, the numbers for the weekend;

Bookings Weekend; 6.675pts profit
Supremacies Weekend; 4.95pts profit
Weekend Overall; 11.625pts profit
La Liga Total; 12.075pts profit
