Not a good weekend, and we shipped half of our profits, mostly in the Barca v Valencia game. An unusually quiet weekend for cards in La Liga, with the average make up less than 60, and only 2 sendings off with one match to go. Unfortunately, we couldn't get on the right side of much, so here are the results.......

A nice profitable weekend, which would have showed up even better had I not forgotten to post a bet from the Bilbao v Getafe match. It's on my pad, I placed the bet, but for some reason, I didn't include it on here - that's twice I've done that, and each time it's been a good one. Apologies. FYI, it was a buy of bookings in that match at 68 - made up 120.

Almost unbelievably, for the second week out of three, I managed to land on a bookings sell which made up 0!

Just one more to add, but I wanted to mention the Athletic Bilbao v Racing Santander match on Sunday.

A local derby in Northern Spain, and the bookings spread is 80-84. My team stats suggest a make-up of 63, while the ref stats are higher at around 82, the midpoint of the spread. Possibly worth a sell then, but wait, it's a derby match and a quick glance at the recent make-ups in this fixture show that the corresponding fixture two seasons ago made up 135 and was refereed by the Senor Carballo, who is in charge again tomorrow. Last seasons match ended up with 13 bookings and 5 reds, a make-up of 255!

I think I've mentioned this fixture before, but a watching brief is in order given these wildly erratic numbers!

A fairly miserable weekend sees us clinging on grimly to an overall profit once again - doesn't get any easier this one! Just one winning bet from six, and some of the losses quite hefty.

Incidentally, the Bilbao match I mentioned made up a reasonably average 75, so it was a sell after all.

Probably no La Liga bookings this weekend, as I'm away, so let's hope the break is beneficial somehow.

Decent profit of over 2pts yesterday, although I thought El Clasico was a wee bit disappointing, if only because Madrid didn't look to me as if they really believed. Messi or Ronaldo? On last night's showing, it's no contest, in fact I'd have Xavi just in behind Messi if you're talking about best in the world - what a player!
