Sporting Index create a rolled-up market covering all of the daily live TV matches at the weekend, succinctly called Saturday Live and Sunday Live.

These are fantastic markets for giving you an interest throughout the day in the TV games, usually from lunchtime often until the last Spanish match finishes, close to bedtime!

Here's what I'm backing today in the Saturday LIVE market, comprising 6 games;

Bookings - Buy @ 293
Aggregate 1st Home Goal - Sell @ 312
Total Goal Minutes - Buy @ 865

Final Make-ups for these bets were;

Bookings - 345 (+52 times profit)
1st Goal - 212 (+100 times profit)
TGM's - 858 (-7 times loss)

Overall profit of around 7.5pts.

Because of differences in market liabilities and volatility, stakes in spread markets must be adjusted accordingly. IE, if you bet at say, £10 in a total goals market, you couldn't use the same stake in the Goal Minutes market, as the liability would be massively different.

I will outline this more clearly later, but fire away with any questions as always.

Overall loss from Saturday's suggestions;

Bookings - Sell @ 342 (1pt) M/U 330 0.6 pts profit
Time of 1st Home Goal - Sell @ 332 (1pt) M/U 348 0.8pts loss
Time of 1st Away Goal - Buy @ 406 (0.5pt) M/U 221 4.62pts loss
TGM's - Buy @ 1025 (0.5pt) M/U 974 0.51pts loss

Total for Saturday; 5.33 pts loss
Weekend Live Total; 17.81 pts profit

It happens too often to go down as completely freakish, but yesterdays away goals came close to falling into that category. 5 of the 7 teams scored within the first 23 minutes, including Wolves 3rd minute opener at Spurs. We went the wrong way on that one, but we're still well ahead overall, and we'll have another go today..............

Sunday matches are;

M'boro v Cardiff
Milan v Palermo
L'pool v Arsenal
Wolfsburg v Dortmund
A Madrid v Villareal
S'doria v Roma
S Gijon v Sevilla

And my recommendations are;

Sell Bookings @ 380 M/U 280. 5.0pts profit
Sell 1st Home Goal @ 335 M/U 493. 7.9pts loss
Sell 1st Away Goal @ 379 (0.5pt) M/U 316. 1.57pts profit
Buy Total Goals @ 20.25 M/U 14. 6.25pts loss

All 1 pt unless stated, all with Sporting Index.

Sunday Total; 7.58pts loss
Overall Weekend Live Total: 10.23pts profit

Not a good weekend on the LIVE selections, resulting in my profits going into the weekend being slashed by more than half, and just 3 winning picks from 8.

Never mind, still a healthy 10+ points in overall profit.

Saturday LIVE fixtures as follows;

Portsmouth v Liverpool
Fulham v Man Utd
Arsenal v Hull
Nottm F v Preston
Sevilla v Getafe
Fiorentina v Milan
R Madrid v Zaragoza

Clearly some matches there where you might fancy some goals and the spreads reflect this, with the total goals buy at 21 for the 7 matches. Quite a few of these sides are scoring a good proportion of their goals late in matches though, so despite the high number, I still think TGM's might be worth a buy.

Bookings are a sell if anything, but so close to the spread, I wouldn't suggest it.

Home sides are all in decent goalscoring form at home in particular, so a sell of the 1st home goal in order.

Recommendations;
Total Goal Minutes Buy @ 1045 (1pt) M/U 997. 0.96pts loss
1st Home Goal Sell @ 334 (1pt) M/U 223.5. 5.525pts profit

Good luck.

Hoping to follow up yesterdays success with another set of matches today which look like they should have some goals.

Just to clarify, if a match is postponed within a group of matches like the Weekend LIVE spread, the midpoint of each market is taken from the individual match spread to add to the final make-up. This is different to bets struck on an individual match which is postponed, where all bets are void.

So, Sunday LIVE today;

Hearts v Celtic
Newcastle v M'boro
Wolves v Burnley
West Ham v Chelsea
Cologne v Nuremburg
Tenerife v A Madrid
Inter v Lazio
Deportivo v Valencia

Recommendations;

Buy Total Goals @ 22.1 (0.5pt) M/U 15. 3.55pts loss
Buy TGM's @ 1100 (0.5pt) M/U 598. 5.02pts loss
Sell 1st Home Goal @ 420 (0.5pt) M/U 252. 4.2pts profit
Sell 1st Away Goal @ 426 (0.5pt) M/U 554. 3.2pts loss

Good luck.

Alex, I note with interest your stakes are 0.5 points per spread here. When will you be bringing out the managing bank article? As I am obviously staking badly :(

Soon Mark. I hardly ever stake more than 1pt, because I base my unit stakes on the type of bet rather than a specific amount of money. If you stake at say £10 a point on fixed odds, then if you feel there is real value in a bet then you can go 2,3,4 or whatever points and you know your liability.

Spread betting doesn't work like that, and you can't stake the same on different types of bets, as your liabilities could be vastly different.

Anyway, I'll get the article finished soon.
