You're not wrong there, Mark.
Unbelievable - that sums up spread betting! Clyde are thumped 7-1 (wasn't expecting that!), but I still win 50 times my stake on the time of their goal! Funny old game, innit?!

BAD result for me, although I was on your Clyde Alex - cheers mateMixed bag of results last night, with The Sage being particularly unlucky with a Baggies equaliser doing him out of an extra 15 times profit, and me managing to win on Clyde despite them losing 7-1!
Spreadwise - G Dorrans M/U 0. 1.05pts loss
The Sage - QPR M/U 10. 0.875pts profit
Mark - Arizona M/U -15. 18.0pts loss
Spreadeck - Clyde M/U 11. 2.5pts profit
Tell me, you show a profit of 2.5 pts, yet the make up was massive - how is this profit/loss calculated Alex?

Brilliant, I was wondering when someone would raise this!! Well done Mark!
The simple answer.......,well there isn't one! If you read my article here it will give you some indication as to how I do it for the straightforward football bets.
The difficulty is that a 1 point bet on something like Total Goal Minutes can't have the same stake as a 1 point bet on Total Goals, for example.
I'm currently putting something together to cover every market available, in terms of the unit stake per single point for all of the wide and varied spread markets.
It needs to take into account the volatility of the market, the stop loss, minimum stake and realistically must have a liability of £20. Then, people can fix their unit stake on the specific market, based on their bank position, explained here.
Hope that answers your question Mark, I hope to complete the exercise soon.
Oh, the Clyde bet - basic unit stake for these bets would normally be 0.50p, so a £25 profit in this case. That equates to 2.5 points at a £10 maximum unit stake. Simpler to start at £10 and work down.
Does that make sense?

It makes sense, but I am going to read your articles. My double draw made me a lot today - just wonder how much profit that will equate to with your formulaeBrilliant, I was wondering when someone would raise this!! Well done Mark!

Well done. Tell you what, I'll work out your points profit in a bit, and you can tell me how close it is to your stake/profit.
Get back to you later.
