Revealing the SECRET of how to tell if a player’s bankroll is nearly finished REVEALED!

I have found this tell very useful in determining how close someone’s immediate bankroll is to going busto. This is useful for the following reasons:

  • If they are close to going broke, it means that they will either play too loose and crazy (don’t care) or too tight and passive (scared of going broke)
  • If they are going crazy then obviously payoff light / value bet frequently and if they are being weak-tight then bluff more frequently

Now for the tell:

  • Most players buy in with pretty ordinary numbers - like in a 100nl game $25, 50, 60, 80, 100 or so. If you see someone lose their stack and rebuy for $43.85 then this is a good indicator that its their last money in their account. Is this 100% accurate, of course not but pretty damn accurate. The reason why someone would never buy in these weird numbers is that it takes longer to type in and makes no real sense. You are probably thinking that someone could purposely type in weird numbers to make it look like they are close to going bust, true but good regular players just don’t do that.
  • In Betfair Poker, there is a glitch in the system where if someone tries to buy in their whole bankroll then they will sit in with $0. Try it! I have seen it dozens of times, players moving from table to table trying to buy in everything they have and it just won’t work. Again, if this is a No Limit game and someone tries to buy in maximum in let’s say a 100nl game, it means that they obviously have less than $100 which is not very much!
